Lucy Wallace I am a freelance Mountain Leader living on the Isle of Arran. I hold the MLTB Summer ML Award and I am a member of the Mountain Leader Training Association.
I am based on Arran, but I also work with groups and commercial organisations as a freelance Mountain Leader, particularly for Macs Adventure, and french company Montagne Evasion, who both offer specialist Walking Holidays in Scotland.
I am passionate about the conservation of wild places and am the RSPB information officer for Arran as well as the project co-ordinator for the Isle of Arran Wildlife Festival.
When not working, I like nothing better than to get out into the hills rock climbing and scrambling. I am a keen winter mountaineer and often travel to Europe to climb snow, ice and rock. Recent trips have included Rjukan in Norway and Liguria in Italy. I have also recently purchased a sea kayak and am having a lot of fun learning this new craft.
